Simmi Bassudev

Simmi Bassudev is the Chief Executive for Professional Provident Society (PPS) Healthcare Administrators. She serves as a Director of the PPS Healthcare Administrators Board. Simmi is also an Executive of the PPS Insurance Company. She joined PPS in November 2015 and was appointed to her current role in April 2018. Simmi has over 26 years of experience in healthcare including the public and private sectors; medical scheme administration and managed healthcare. Over the years, Simmi has been instrumental in the design and implementation of risk management solutions for medical schemes.

Simmi qualified as a pharmacist with a BPharm degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1994. She has gained a number of post-graduate qualifications including a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of the Witwatersrand Business School as well as a Senior Management Development Programme from the University of the Stellenbosch Business School.

Simmi has been a member of HFA since 2018 and joined the Board in 2020.
